The Board of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC ('Hill & Smith' or the 'Company') is pleased to announce that it has appointed Derek William Muir (aged 46) as an Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Derek Muir has been a senior manager within the Hill & Smith Group for many years. He was appointed managing director of Hill & Smith Limited, one of the Group's principal subsidiaries, in 1998 and since 2001 has been the managing director of the core Infrastructure Products division. He is the beneficial owner of 8,855 ordinary shares in the Company and has options over a further 90,474 ordinary shares. He is not a director of any other publicly quoted company and there are no other matters which are required to be disclosed by paragraphs 9.6.13 (2-6) of the Listing Rules.
